trans women who don’t shave are valid and beautiful. trans women who don’t wear dresses and skirts are valid and beautiful. trans women who aren’t skinny and petite are valid and beautiful. women come in all different forms, all of you are valid and beautiful even if you don’t meet typical feminine beauty standards.
I hope that with “don’t shave” you meant legs and armpits… And not beard…
why? are you saying trans women who have any facial hair are suddenly less valid for natural aspects of the body?
let me bring this to a personal level: I have shaved my face every day for the past four years. I can’t afford laser, so that’s what I have to do. Do you know what that does to the skin? It’s dried out. It hurts. A lot. Shaving, every day, for years, is bad for the skin’s health. sometimes I have to let facial hair grow for the sake of my skin’s health. and let me tell you something amazing, it takes only like a day and a half to have some pretty clear hair growth.
trans women who don’t shave are valid and beautiful. I don’t care about your shitty standards of gender. hair growth is a natural part of the human body, if a woman doesn’t shave it, due to not wanting to or not being able to, then who the fuck cares? it’s her fucking body, not yours.
to quote from another rant I made on this… why should my girlfriend spend literally MONTHS of her life shaving her face when she could be doing things that actually improve the quality of her life? Playing with our kids. Reading a book. Making me dessert (like she’s doing right now. ❤ ) ANYTHING that would actually make her happy, rather than struggling to conform to nonsensical and arbitrary beauty standards that daily shaving isn’t going to fully meet anyway? And yes, sometimes shaving is the thing that will make her happy, and so she does it. But other times it’s more trouble and angst than it’s worth, so she doesn’t. She doesn’t need to shave to be a woman. Anyone that wants her to shave before they’ll accept her as a woman isn’t really going to accept her as a woman anyway. She’s got better things to do with her time than beg for approval from that kind of person.
