Haven’t tried the freezer one, but I can vouch that the sliding door, spice and shoe racks ones totally work.

a lifehack that actually make a sense

Totes did the sliding door one, not so much to keep people out but to keep in the toddler, who had previously expertly decoded how to unlock both locks on the door. So, tension rod at the top of the door, and voila. Toddler proof.

I keep a spare sturdy cardboard box/milk crate in the trunk to use either as a space-filler to keep grocery bags from spilling or to contain particularly unruly cargo like plants and unbagged six-packs.
