I have, however, for the first time encountered Tony Stark Stans in the wild.
(Don’t get me wrong. I love Tony. I love him for the absurd and often obnoxious human disaster and deeply good person he is. It’s the uncritical stanning that I had never encountered before. Most people I run into spend all their time making him out to be The Worst Ever.)
(I do not bother arguing with people who want to make him out The Worst because I have only so many minutes in my day, but I should note that I firmly feel they are wrong. And actually am deeply fond of Tony.) (But he’s such a fucking mess. I heart him.)
I remain convinced that a lot of people who don’t like Tony have never read him properly written. i cannot TELL you how many fics i read where i just wind up yelling “NO THAT’S NOT HOW HE THINKS.” and it’s not even like the resultant actions are all that far off? but the motivations are WRONG. WHY do only you and Betty Ross properly appreciate this.
today’s exercise: not biting the people you asked to help you clean and organize your kitchen when they attempt to actually do that
ok so I was reading Victor Hugo’s wiki page and apparently in 1862 he was on vacation & wanted to know whether Les Mis was selling well so he literally sent a single ‘?’ to his publisher, to which his publisher replied ’!’ indicating it was doing well and?? if this doesn’t sum up victor hugo idk what does
i can think of a lot of things that sum up victor hugo better than extremely concise methods of written communication
just sayin

The day Natalia marks as successachieved on her private but not particularly secret project of make-James’-subconscious-accept-that-I-will-not-be-a-threat is a Tuesday. And actually it’s evening. And an illustration, she thinks, of just how much James subconsciously sees Clint as an extension of her, because Clint gets granted the same assessment at the same time.
hamlet au where everything is the same but no one ever puts anything down gently, not even the background characters, if someone is putting something down at all they must throw it to the ground like it did them serious wrong, im talking flat out slam dunking anything in their hands, but otherwise the play doesnt change
Horatio: Goodnight, sweet prince [LIFTS HAMLET ACTOR INTO THE AIR AND SLAMS THEM INTO THE GROUND]
THE PLAY ENDS WITH THE FOUR CAPTAINS DUNKING HAMLET’S CORPSE INTO A COFFIN AT LIKE 90 MILES AN HOUR
SLAMLET.
