Vimes wakes up in the shadow of a barricade and immediately assumes the worst. But then it turns out this Enjolras lad’s got all the good parts of Ned Coates and Reg Shoe with very little of the bad, and his second-in-command reminds him a little of Dr. Lawn, and it’s funny, but he gets the feeling this revolution might work out after all.
Javert, meanwhile, finds himself drawn quite against his will into a discussion of the finer points of the law with one Captain Ironfoundersson…
(You can blame this thread for the nonsense above! Don’t ask me how the timeline works, it went all wibbly-wobbly for comedic purposes, okay. ALSO LOOK, A CROSSOVER THAT DOESN’T END IN TEARS!)
OMFG I HAD NO IDEA HOW MUCH I NEEDED THIS IN MY LIFE AWWW YISSSSSS
Bringing this back because of reasons
*cackles* Nobody is dying on Vimes’ watch. He’ll probably arrest the damn firing line.

Hilda by Duane Bryers
I think I just found my perfect woman.
The other day I had a really good idea for a story:
A high school Shakespeare club angrily splits into two groups when they can’t agree on the correct interpretation of Romeo and Juliet. One group thinks it’s a cautionary tale about the stupidity of youth and shallow lust; the other group think it’s a beautiful tragedy about poisonous hatred conquered by love. Reconciliation seems impossible-
–then a person from one group falls in love with a person from the other
#it would be better if somehow EVERY OTHER SHAKESPEARE WAS HAPPENING AT ONCE#like you got a benedict and beatice b-story#and then somebody see’s their dad’s ghost#and there’s cross-dressing#and three upperclassmen tell macbeth he will be drama club president
oh my god I need this
nobody dies but SEVEN PEOPLE ARE EXPELLED
so my family went to the tulip fields and my little sister didn’t have a good time at all
WHY IS THAT ONE FUCKING TULIP A DIFFERENT COLOR I WOULD BE UPSET TOO
it is the chosen one
it must be the main character in the anime
It got funnier when I realized just how many tulips are in this picture.
“In a world where tulips were yellow, one dared to be different…”
Every spring this picture comes back around and every spring I crack up
at first you just see the row of tulips in the foreground, and it’s funny
then you see the rows stretching back for yards and yards, and it’s even funnier
Friendly reminder classic moments like these with the kids are entirely unscripted.
my heart exploded
WHAT A SWEETHEART
