So everyone talks about Steve being able to wield Mjolnir and that’s cool and all, but a lot of people forget that Clint, in the comics, is one of the few people who can properly use Steve’s shield.

So…yes. Steve holds his hand out and accidentally catches Mjolnir and meanwhile Clint’s out of arrows and the shield lands near him so he just kind of says “fuck it” and picks up the shield and starts throwing it. And Thor kind of shrugs and just grabs the nearest thing to use as a weapon. Maybe tosses one of the bad guys at the other bad guys. Maybe tosses Tony at the bad guys. Something.

And later they all agree that was pretty fun.

It’s always fun to use Tony as a blunt instrument.

It really is:

i love that because it implies its a legitimate strategic tactic theyve used before SEVERAL TIMES

I have, however, for the first time encountered Tony Stark Stans in the wild.

(Don’t get me wrong. I love Tony. I love him for the absurd and often obnoxious human disaster and deeply good person he is. It’s the uncritical stanning that I had never encountered before. Most people I run into spend all their time making him out to be The Worst Ever.)

(I do not bother arguing with people who want to make him out The Worst because I have only so many minutes in my day, but I should note that I firmly feel they are wrong. And actually am deeply fond of Tony.) (But he’s such a fucking mess. I heart him.)

I remain convinced that a lot of people who don’t like Tony have never read him properly written.  i cannot TELL you how many fics i read where i just wind up yelling “NO THAT’S NOT HOW HE THINKS.”  and it’s not even like the resultant actions are all that far off?  but the motivations are WRONG.  WHY do only you and Betty Ross properly appreciate this.
