Guys there’s a ton of raids and ICE IS ALL OVER Austin and I just don’t wanna be here anymore I wanna go away
For anyone in Austin, there’s a checkpoint on N. Lamar near Rundberg, and one in Decker Ln. So stay away,. There’s video recordings of them having arrested already a few ppl in front of the HEB on north Lamar. My cousin who lives by Sendero Hills on 969 said they raided some of the taco stands there so please stay away!! Apparently they’re knocking door to door in Manor so we’ll see if they knock in mine.
It’s no surprise they’re attacking areas where most of the Latino population is concentrated. Lamar/Runberg Decker Ln East Riverside Cameron Rd
I would say people in those areas should be worried the most. Call your family if they’re out for work and prob tell them to not come home for a while.
Fuck….it’s really happening.
Also in Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Atlanta last I heard, so probably more places too. Someone said they’re targeting sanctuary cities, which makes sense because Melania’s husband is a vindictive fuck.
ICE is even going to people’s homes and tiny to trick people into letting them in. In Atlanta, possibly in the other areas too, schools were NOTIFIED IN CASE PARENTS DIDN’T PICK KIDS UP BECAUSE THEY WERE BUSY BEING DEPORTED. That’s incredibly fucked up.
I found this tho, feel free to share: “Report When a Raid is happening. If you or someone you know experiences a raid, you can call the United We Dream hotline immediately and report it: 1-844-363-1423. To receive text alerts, text: WATCH ICE to 877877.”
You can also text 877877 to report a raid in a specific zip code, and they encourage you to send pictures and details of what’s happening.
Isolating this from the previous comment for easier reference:

can we have ‘classicists against white supremacy’// ‘classicists against patriarchy’ // ‘classicists against eurocentrism’ // patches
because we’re actually at the ground of what the hate groups and right parties are trying to claim as their own and use as a weapon against others – so it’s time to take back that narrative.
First draft. Hit me up if you have other ideas, keeping in mind I do not draw but I can use the Adobe Creative Suite
The legal clinic at Yale Law School that is working with the ACLU to fight Trump’s executive order is asking anyone who has experienced any issues with Customs and Border Patrol due to the ban, including anyone getting turned back from boarding flights to the U.S. in other countries, or any other airport intimidation, to PLEASE WRITE TO airportwatch@mailman.yale.edu.
THOSE WHO OPPOSE TRUMP’S EXECUTIVE ORDER: PLEASE SHARE THIS AS WIDELY AS POSSIBLE. This request is coming directly from the legal team on the case.
I’m sharing this from Nicolas Medina Mora (my former co-worker) who knows one of the attorneys involved.
Screenshotted this thread because you all need to see it.
(Cis LGB, I’m expecting you to reblog this.)
Little Light:
Let us assume that
our opponents are competent and have been studying our defenses for
some time, looking for vulnerabilities to exploit. They put out
little feints and test attacks, seeing who will defend who, who can
be divided off from the group, and so on. We’ve seen this. All of
these questions they need answers to: will Jews defend Muslims? Will
Asians support Black struggle? Where can the wedges be put in? The
Alt-Right 4Chan types are always talking about observing and
infiltrating online anti-oppression communities for intel and laughs.
All these little tests. What if they make up a pretend pedophilia
orientation? Will people defend it? Will they tight and divide over
it?
One vulnerability
they’ve consistently turned up is transmisogyny. Lots of groups can
be induced to vilify or wish away trans women. Useful! Remember a
little while ago when Milo put out that petition? “Remove the T
from LGBT”? They watched who signed and promoted that thing. It
was couched in anti-oppression boilerplate. And look! Cis gay men
promoted it. Some feminists and womanists promoted it. Useful intel.
They learned helpful info there: many cis LGB people were raring to
turn on trans people. They’d even say it was for their own
protection. They counted up who signed on, who elaborated on it, who
was excited about it. I’m looking at you, TERFs and enablers, in
particular. (They even discovered that some fanatical anti-trans
feminists would happily join forces with homophobic Christians, to
hurt trans women.) Nobody thought that T-out-of-LGBT petition was
going to DO anything. There’s nobody who DECIDES that. It was a
solidarity test balloon. So these laughing nihilists went
looking—along many lines–for cracks in solidarity, joints in the
armor, people who could be attacked 1st.
Why do I point this
out now? Because this week the rumor mill floated a general
anti-LGBTQ EO or bill was coming, & they gauged opposition.
Supposedly they decided that opposition to this anti-LGBTQ
legislation would be too much for now, and put it in the not-yet
column. And yet: Now the word is they’re paring down to a
specifically anti-trans EO. One focused on legal documents, probably
framed as for nat’l security. (After all, mismatched documents are
fraud, right? Terrorists could be using fake ID. And there’s all that
voter fraud to address. Right?)
Previous Intel
operations (& polls) have told them that the majority of the
country has turned to support LGB rights—but NOT trans rights. They
know from watching our intra-movement arguments online that there’s a
long history of cis LGB folks throwing trans folks under the bus.
They have tested to see if cis LGB people will readily abandon trans
people to save themselves. (Yes.) If they’ll outright attack us.
(Yes.) They’ve tested if there are blocs w/in the cis LGB community
so dedicated to hurting trans people that they’ll ally wtthe right
wing. (Yes.) They’ve watched some of these anti-trans fanatics STILL
obsessing over eradicating us, prioritizing that, even while the
country is on fire. Lo and behold: the regime floats anti-LGBTQ
legislation, withdraws it for now. Now they’re floating anti-trans
legislation. Right on time.
Their research
indicates that the general public will happily let trans people burn
first as expendable. That cis LGB people will, too. The plan? To
remove our ability to get legal ID documents. There goes voting,
travel, med. care, having an answer to “your papers, please.”
That and support for keeping us out of public bathrooms, away from
schools, away from gendered spaces, out of jobs and housing. Public
life.
I’m saying this
because they have good reason to believe they’re right that they can
come for us and no one will stop them. Their little intel operations
indicate that not only will no one stop them hurting trans people,
many will even help. Even cis LGB people. I’m saying this especially
for everyone who gave them reason to believe this. Who looked the
other way when trans lives were on the line.
When they come for
us. (They will come for us. They are about to come for us.) Prove
them wrong. Prove them wrong. Prove them wrong. Please.
Remember that the
specter of trans women was already a useful wedge issue &
get-out-the-vote driver in the 2016 campaign. There’s precedent. We
will be used as a weapon and a vulnerability against the rest of you
for as long as our opponents know we won’t be protected by the Left.
One of our lessons from fighting the anti-Muslim E0s in the last week
is this: we have to deny them every victory. Each one counts.
Whatever we teach them about who we will leave behind will be used to
hurt all of us. We have to show them we will abandon no one. not ever
Now is a time when it is clear & stark: solidarity saves us.
Together, we outnumber them. Together, we can win. Let us not be
broken apart. All of you responding with pledges to have our backs:
thank you. Bring your friends on board. As Octavia Butler said: So be
it. See to it.
***This is an emergency bulletin for everyone in Austin.***
I need as many people who can do this to spread the word to any and all Austin contacts, DO NOT WAIT, tomorrow might be too late. This is from a trusted friend and a member of one of the internal offices of the Texas capital building who holds a significant position in the Texas government ranks. He’s also an LGBT ally.

FYI austin. From a trusted friend. “I heard at a chamber meeting this afternoon that ICE is going to do a door to door round up in Austin Thursday-Sunday. Apparently the White House heard about our Sheriff and is looking to make us an example with a big media blitz. Don’t know all your network connections and wanted to spread the word so organizations can encourage immigrant families to get out of town if possible”

The above is copy/pasted from a Dallas activist group’s Facebook page. The source has to remain anonymous for their safety but they’ve been verified.
Reblogging per request – normally this would go in RFM, but it’s an immediate potential event, and the “What to do if ICE shows up on your door” infographic is helpful regardless.
As of Sunday Jan 29, Boston is the only US city pledging to admit all legal green card and visa holders, and refugees at an international airport. No detention no deportation. Anyone trying to come back to the US who is affected by the ban is being urged to reroute through Logan airport. Please share.
For anyone flying through Logan who is not familiar with the airport, likely arriving in Terminal E – there is a completely free silver line service that will take you directly to South Station, from which point you and anyone traveling with you can obtain train or bus tickets to most major destinations up and down the east coast.
The stop outside the terminal looks like this – exit from any point and walk until you find a sign like this one.
The bus to get on looks like this – you should not be asked for fare.
South Station is the fourth stop after getting on at terminal E – there will be an announcement, it may take anywhere from 20-30 minutes, depending on the time of day and how busy the traffic is.
From South Station, if you have a place to stay in Boston, you can continue on the red line and transfer trains without paying additional fees. Make sure you ask your host or the guest services at wherever you’re staying where the closest stop is and what line it is on.
If you can get a flight back out of Logan to wherever your destination is, that’s probably ideal, but if you need to stay somewhere in the mean time due to the length between your flights, the T may seem confusing, but it’s a really solid and low-cost way to get out of the airport and to a place where you can sleep or pick the next leg of your trip. Cab services, especially during high volume time periods, can turn out to be really expensive, and if you don’t know how to use the Silver Line it can be overwhelming trying to figure out where to go.
If you need help with Boston’s public transport, don’t be shy about asking someone who’s in the same terminal or on the same bus – Bostonians can be a little icy, but the only reason I know what I know is because kind strangers have helped me get from point A to point B. Hopefully this helps get you off in the right direction – and feel free to directly message me if you need any clarifications (or if you are a single person who needs somewhere to stay in the Boston area – I have an extra mattress!!)
We learned that a giant mass protest that shuts down large streets of major cities will be met with cops on their best behavior if the protests are made up of “regular” white people. We are shown that most news organizations reported favorably and used positive rhetoric (for the most part) and nice photos of families protesting together. It was viewed in a very kind light, which is the opposite of what most major (BLM for example) protests get.
If only there was a way to harness or organize the suburban white lady privilege into other protests. These women act as cop repellent because cops are far less likely to split Sharon from Accounts Payable’s head open or Sandy and her daughter Keighleeanne from Naperville or Susan the wife of a CEO. If more of these ladies showed up I think we could curb some of the violence that people of color face. Operation white shield or some shit like that. This is a way to use your privilege and power to back up what you say you believe in. I am just spitballing here, but man, I have never seen such lax police at such a large protest in my life.
Operation White Shield
I’m in
I mean…it’s worth a shot.
The more I think about it, the more convinced I am that this is a thing that needs to happen. I was talking to a former roommate from Colorado – she said that the Denver chapter of BLM has been asking whites not to show up to marches but donate instead, and I get it since there’s been problems of infiltration. But I told her a sister organization might be a good idea, since it keeps the message undiluted but keeps fellowship less fraught.
This could be that sister organization, and not just for BLM. For any protest in defense of minorities, Operation White Shield could be a thin wall of bodies between the protesters and the police – a very literal “You’ll have to go through me first.”
It’s exactly what the 2000 veterans who went to Standing Rock arrived to do – SUCCESSFULLY – and the rest of us could do it too.
Now we need organizers.
those were exactly my thoughts when i saw the first pictures rolling in. police men wearing pussy hats says it all: white women’s bodies are a bullet repellent because nothing looks so ugly on telly and gives a government of white dudes a bad rap as bleeding white bodies getting dragged into the back of a police van.
