House Common Room aesthetics – Hufflepuff Basement

And at the center of it all: Chocolate. Chocolate as a discourse on imperialism. Chocolate as a metaphor for sex. Chocolate magnifying the difference between cultural appropriation and appreciation. Chocolate as currency. Chocolate as power. Oh, Tremontaine is an adventure, and at least two love stories, too — but it’s also a savvy commentary on the economics and ethics of cultural exchange. Kaab is a woman of color, hailing from a people of color, from a land far away, where chocolate is crafted and exported to a nation of people the color of ant-eggs who bastardize the Kinwiinik’s sacred preparation and consider their sugared up, creamed up version of the drink the height of sophistication. It’s not just an entertaining series; it’s an incisive cultural critique.
Well, and the gayness: One thing most of these writers of have in common is that their previously published works all give prominence to queer characters in worlds where being queer is a non-issue. The same is true of Tremontaine, where every love story is between men who love men, or women who love women, or men and women who love both men and women. The sex is good fun, but the romance is deliriously well-written. Such aching and longing and pining and promises (amid cups and cups of chocolate!).
Read a F*cking Serialized Book: “Tremontaine” is a Paradise of Queerness and Chocolate
The first part is free apparently (at least for now) so if you want to try it out…
^^^^^ That’s how they got me hooked 🙂
Winter is approaching and there are several ways to keep yourself warm during the season. Long overcoats are always the classic choice and combining the right colors for inside layers is definitely crucial.
I personally wouldn’t wear dress shoes for snow or rainy days. My choice would be the Balmoral boots because it always looks good in a suit (although still not suitable for harsh weather conditions). One of my favorites is Carmina’s Balmoral boots which is made in Horween cordovan leather. It is an extremely durable material that is water-resistant and will age a very long time. Another option would be Carmina’s Balmoral boots with Dainite rubber soles which prevents you from slipping on wet surfaces. This is a good choice for those who want to break the bank.

I WANNA DIE THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL LIKE I LITERALLY GASPED
IS THAT ANGEL HAZE.
I feel like much of the world is in a social war over what gender is and is not.
I don’t feel that its my place to tell someone else what gender is.
I believe that gender identity is something that an individual has to figure out for themselves. The being said, based on my personal experience with understanding my own gender identity, I can tell you what gender is not.Gender is not the same as your sexuality.
Gender does not have to define your sexuality.
Gender and sexuality are two different subjects.Gender has nothing to do with your genitalia.
Gender is not defined by a doctor, despite what’s on your birth certificate.
Gender identity is more of spectrum of variable options, instead of a binary with only two options.Gender Identity & Gender Expression are not the same thing.
Gender identity is part of the mental and emotional understanding of yourself.
Gender expression is your style, how you’re most comfortable presenting to the outside world. It is my belief that somewhere through out history, things like gender identity, gender expression, genitalia & sexuality somehow got all wrapped up into one single category called gender. However, it is also my belief that the people in this world are changing. Growing into a much more colorful way of thinking and understanding.
I hope the day will come when the majority will know gender to be a personal understanding of ones self, instead of an outward understanding of everyone else.
Xoxo
