hi! i have been seeing a lot of posts from my mutuals on here talking about having “cr*ppling anxiety/depression” and so i made a post to let them know that if they aren’t physically disabled then they shouldn’t be using that word. a lot of the responses have been other non disabled people telling me that it’s fine for us to use because you can be “mentally cr*ppled”, and now im starting to second guess myself. cr*ppling doesn’t refer to mental illness right??

crpl-pnk:

you’re right. cripple is a slur that solely targets physically disabled people. able bodied people have no business using it at all let alone referring to themselves with it, regardless of their mental health

So a better word would be “debilitating”?

Me: *dislocates rib while coughing uncontrollably*

*dislocates shoulder while trying to put rib back into place*

*dislocates rib while trying to fix shoulder*

*promptly dies*

Doctor: Are you sure you’re not just depressed?

Im going through the reigns of Roman Emperors and jfc it’s either “rule: ~20 years in relative peace” or “rule: 3 months and 2 days. Stabbed to death by praetorian guard”, there’s practically no middle ground.

Fun fact: If a Roman statue looks like the head is too small for the body, it’s because the features were recut by the emperor before him. And the one before that. And the one before that.

what studying languages is like

latin: words like ‘yes’ and ‘no’ aren’t important. memorize these 3000 different ways to talk about killing people though because you will use them
greek: hello naughty students it’s participle time
egyptian: ancient pictionary
french: pronouncing every letter is for chumps
german: let’s combine every other word together to create the U L T I M A T E F R A N K E N W O R D
